Configure Guroo

Enter your Guroo username in full below. When you click "proceed" you will be redirected to the Guroo Zoiper page where you can chose your platform.

You will be required to use your installed Zoiper to scan a QR Code.

If you wish to configure your softphone manually you may use the configurations given below.

Use the following settings for manual dialer configuration

  • Account Name: Guroo
  • Username: +26386449**** (* as the rest of your Guroo number)
  • Password: [as given or as set], check your email for your password or reset it from here
  • Auth Username: +26386449xxxxx@africom.com (x is the rest of your Guroo number)
  • Domain: africom.com
  • Proxy: 41.221.159.76

Common errors

  • Error 403 forbidden: This is a username password error. Check your username and password. Also check if the Authentication Username is set.
  • Failed to connect to server, and connection errors: Verify Proxy and domain. Also check your internet connection for speed and SIP VoIP restrictions.
  • Failing to call: Check your credit. Or try dialing number without the (263) international code, e.g 08644911111.
  • Poor voice quality: Check your internet connection. Guroo is an internet based service, it requires a stable internet connection.

Important info on Error 403

If you are getting the Error"403 forbidden" message on your app please reset your account using your Guroo password here: reset password
If you use a different password from the one you where using on the app please update the password to match the one you set on the password reset link given above.
